Welcome to The Point,
Old Florida Gulf Coast at its Finest.
Between the cozy hammock of Bald State Park and the white sands of the Gulf coast rests a quaint beach house just steps from miles of secluded beaches right on the Gulf of Mexico in Alligator Point, Florida. Known as the "forgotten coast", this is old Florida at its finest. Greet the dawn of daybreak with sunrises artists aspire to capture. Watch the porpoise as they break the waves, fish, hunt for shells, or just sit and take in the serenity. Ocean breezes and sunlit skies make for a perfect day.

BALD POINT STATE PARK
The Point is surrounded by Bald Point State Park to the west and north and the Gulf of Mexico to the east and south. The park offers kayak launch sites, hiking and biking trails, park ranger guided tours, swimming, fishing, nature trails, observation decks over salt marshes, abundant wildlife and excellent world-class bird watching. The Bald Point State Park is a day-use only area, so there are NO overnight campers which insures privacy. Bald Point is a protected nesting site of sea turtles.
Bald Point State Park also offers access to two Apalachee Bay beaches for swimming, sunbathing, fishing, canoeing, kayaking and windsurfing. Facilities include a fishing dock and picnic pavilions.
Coastal marshes, pine flatwoods, and oak thickets foster a diversity of biological communities that make the park a popular destination for birding and wildlife viewing. Each fall, bald eagles and other migrating raptors, along with monarch butterflies, are commonly seen heading south for the winter.
At Bald Point’s North end and Sunrise entrances, surf fishing and wading out to oyster bars is a popular pastime. Visitors enjoy canoeing on Chaires Creek and Tucker Lake, a large brackish lake connected to the Ochlockonee Bay by way of Chaires Creek.
Nearby Apalachicola National Forest covers 575,849 acres in Franklin, Leon, Liberty, and Wakulla counties in the Florida Panhandle. It is the largest of the three national forests in Florida and one of 154 national forests and grasslands in the United States. The park offers an abundance of activities including several lake recreational areas, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, boating, and nature trails.
The Point at Alligator Point ocean view vacation rental house is located directly
